Bromhexine HCI

Drug class: Mucolytics

  • Bromhexine is a derivate of the Adhatoda vasica plant for the treatment of various respiratory diseases.
  • It has been found to enhance the secretion of various mucus components by modifying the physicochemical characteristics of mucus.

Chlorpheniramine Maleate

Drug class: Antihistamines

  • The FDA-approved antihistamine, Chlorpheniramine Maleate could inhibit influenza virus infection by blocking viral entry into the target cell, the early stage of virus life cycle.
  • Have demonstrated efficacy against nasal congestion (caused by inflammation, increased nasal secretions) in patients with allergic rhinitis, and the magnitude of benefit is relatively modest.
